Burning Fat

One key to burning fat is  replacing your current body fat with 5 to 10 pounds of lean muscle.   Lean muscle burns calories at rest:  Sleeping, sitting at your desk for an 8 to 10 hour work shift.   How do you achieve this?   Your program needs to consist of a minimum of 2 days of strength training and or functional training, in addition to your cardio training.    If you can replace your current body fat with 10 lbs of lean muscle you will achieve this:  

  • You will burn 500 calories daily at rest
  • 500 calories over a 7 day week = 3,500
  • You will loose 1 pound of fat loss per week

As with any diverse fitness routine, find what works best for you.   Doing cardiovascular training is very important as well as your favorite group fitness classes.   Keep a good balance of exercises in your routine to maximize your results.
