They should be in the aerobics room taking classes, or sweating on the treadmill. Notice I said MISCONCEPTION. News flash ladies! We need to be in the weight room just as much (if not more) than all those men in the gym. Whoever told you that weights are going to "bulk you up" or "make you look like a man" probably doesn't lift properly himself.
You've probably heard that "muscle burns fat" or that "muscle weighs more than fat." The truth is, BOTH of these things are true. The best way to burn fat: take that first scary step into the weight room. Are you going to see a huge change on the scale right away? Probably not. Will your pants start fitting better? Most definitely. Remember the movie, "The Sandlot?" You've probably heard the expression, "you play ball like a girl!"
