Safe and Effective Movement

Taking care of a body requires steady discipline not just for our muscles and bones but for the linking system of your skeleton.  Wherever one bone meets another this is a joint of some kind.  Tendons, ligaments and cartilage are fibrous connective tissues which support, bind, strengthen and, in the case of tendons, move bones.  Lifting, reaching, driving, and participating in sports are examples of activities that require our connective tissues to work for safe and effective movement.


Regular exercise, such as those offered at Affordable Fitness in our Group Exercise Dept., staying hydrated and maintaining a healthy body weight are all necessary for keeping tendons, ligaments and cartilage in shape to support the skeletal structure.
